During the 1970's to 80's a movement began within the Southern Baptist Convention, led by a few people, to turn the convention into a very conservative donomintaion, This movement led to redefining the doctrine of the Priesthood of Believers and the concept of each individual discerning their call by God.

Many have not followed this movement, and thus, was born the CBF and the KBF. Many churches are a part of both the SBC and the CBF.

Our church from the beginning has aligned only with the CBF and the KBF. We believe this is more in keeping with traditional Baptist beliefs and polity than that of the SBC.

The CBF and KBF are active in the commands of Jesus to spread the gospel around the world and have very active foreign missionaries and state missions programs.
